In year 2 we have been learning about Judaism and about what happens on Shabbat.

In Year 2 we have had great fun learning about ourselves. We have been experimenting with smells and taste, learning about our senses.
We have discovered the names of our body parts and drew our interpretation of what we look like inside. In our investigations we found there was a great difference in heights.

Mary Seacole

At the start of the Spring Term Year 2  started work on ‘Black History! The children learned about Mary Seacole.

Mary was a Nurse and Carer who went to war in the 1850s. By age 12 she was already helping her mother to nurse sick people.

Year 2's Terrific Trip!

In September Year 2 had an amazing day when they visited Liverpool Cathedral to see 'The Face of Bootle' exhibition.
The children found the faces they'd made on Our Lady of Walsingham's banner, then went on a trail around the Cathedral.
During our visit they also made clay models, which will always remind them of the great day they had.
In a few weeks the exhibition will move to Bootle Strand, so everyone will get a chance to see our brilliant banner!
