Activities Slide Show

There's always so much going on in Our Lady of Walsingham. The attached slide show will reveal just a few of the activities Y3/4 have been engaging in…

** Year 3 /4 visit Aintree Race Course

In September Year 4 pupils were invited to Aintree Racecourse. We had the opportunity to ride on ponies, dress up in racing colours, see Red Run's grave, visit the commentary box, the weighing in room and the stables. We also walked around the course, saw how high the jumps were and line up at the starting line. The police horses with their trainers were available to talk to and ask questions. It was a fantastic day and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

** In the Junior building we now have a new library which we can be used to select new reading books, watch educational videos, learn the guitar, do our homework and work with different groups.

** There are a few photographs from our class displays.

** Religious Education:

Collective Worship - The scene from the Nativity (Year 3/4 also used this as a cover page for our Class Christmas card.)

R.E. Topic - Preparations - As we prepare for the birth of Jesus.

R.E. Special People - Our class play together in the snow - we are special.

** History - Romans and Celts (Autumn Term)

As we returned to school in January we were met with some very white weather - snow - lots of it. In the playground pictures you can see how Y3/4 children enjoyed playing out in it. We also had a try at sledging down the Infants' hill, courtesy of Miss Cook's Reception class who lent us their sledges.

** Science - Keeping Warm Display is certainly topical at the moment, as everyone needs to keep warm in this cold spell.
