Visit to St. Ambrose Barlow

Junior Chefs

Ferry Trip

The children in Year 5 had a fantastic day at St Ambrose Barlow High school recently.

They were shown around the school by some of our ex pupils and met the teachers. They enjoyed art, ICT, cycling, woodwork and drama lessons.

We had a wonderful day when Junior Chefs came to visit school in April.

Not only were the children learning about food and trying some new juices out, they were taught how to make a tiramisu.

To end the spring term Y5 enjoyed a day out in Liverpool. Inside the museum the children enjoyed the planetarium and finding out about our solar system. This topic will be explored further in the summer term. After lunch we caught the ferry across the Mersey. We got drenched on the walk but it didn't dampen spirits. The ferry ride was lots of fun. Next term the children will be learning about transport in our local area and can reflect on this experience of the city.
