In Science this term Year 4 have learnt about Teeth and Eating and had a visit from the a dental hygienist. Here Paul and Neve are role-playing 'A visit to the dentist'. Every pupil received a free tube of toothpaste. In a Mathematics an investigation was carried out using several tubes of Smarties. Lots of questions were asked and tally charts, pictographs, block graphs were then produced in ICT. Here are some of our photographs, we had great fun and learnt many things during the investigation, though one question did remain unanswered: Why did so many Smarties go missing? This year Year 4 are learning to play the violin with our music teacher Mrs McGovern. Every Thursday afternoon they get out our violins and learn the notes and how to play. The pupils can resin and tighten our bows, learn how to hold the violin in order to play correctly. On Thursday afternoons the school is alive with the sound of 31 violins playing (30 children and 1 from Mrs Davis). Oh how we love to play! |
