Lister Junior School provides a secure, compassionate and happy environment
through the promotion of an inclusive ethos and a strong sense of belonging.

House Captains 2011-12

House captains are Year 6 children who, after giving a short presentation, are chosen by the rest of the children in the school. This year's house captains are Megan,Tia, Joseph, Sonny, Louise, Emily, Kallum and Anthony.
Every child and member of staff in the school is assigned to a house. There are 4 houses which are named after gem stones: Ruby (red), Sapphire (blue), Emerald (green) and Amber (yellow) and each house has two captains. All children can earn points for their house throughout the week and the results are announced in assembly every Friday

This group of Lister children comprises Guild Hall Award winners.

Miss Heald, a Year 3 teacher, takes Guild Hall classes every year and an examiner from Guild Hall comes to school to assess the pupils.

Our pupils do very well every year with a lot of them gaining 'distinction' and most gaining 'merits'.
