St. Cuthbert's Foundation class are happy to welcome you all into their unit. They have a special small group area and every morning the children come and peg their names on their SEAL Feelings displays to show their emotions. There is an outdoor area with a special garden which they have worked hard to develop with a great deal of help from their families and also Tesco's Community Champion Peter Whittle. Great improvements have been made and a special gardening week is being planned. A special working area has been set up called the Atelier, which is an Italian word for Workshop and here the children are able to create their own designs using lots of natural beautiful materials. Recently some even planned how to make their own cheesecake! Recently St. Cuthbert's were awarded the Full Service Extended School Status which is a way of congratulating all those involved in the Breakfast Club, lunchtime and after-school Clubs along with Foundation 1. This now provides for the new 15 hours entitlement for Nursery children |
