Liverpool FC Visitors

In January Liverpool Football Club community staff Truth 4 Youth visited St. Cuthbert's with the European Cup and six very important messages. The topics of the assembly highlighted the harmful effects of drug use, bullying, racism and violence. It also offered a message of unity with Liverpool 's famous words of You'll Never Walk Alone.

The mottoes shared in assembly by the Liverpool FC Community team were:

Kick Drugs into Touch!

Give Bullying the Boot!

Show Racism the Red Card!

More important than being a good footballer is being a good person!

You'll Never Walk Alone!

Shoot Goals NOT Guns!

The children and staff  loved the assembly, especially the singing!

Meanwhile, the School Council is thinking about the key messages given by LFC and hoping to pass on the important aspects and live them out in our school.

Lucy Worley in Y3 liked the message of You'll Never Walk Alone because it explained that if you put your hand in God's, you won't be alone as he will always walk beside you; Mrs O'Malley thought that the assembly was full of positive messages for our children. It was a wonderful learning experience for our children; Morgan Baird from Y3 liked the message about racism. There is only one race, that is the human race.
