BBC's Gordon Burns does the Honours!

St. Sebastian's Headteacher Mr Dennis Hardiman is pictured accepting a very prestigious award along with Mr Charles Daniels, Headteacher of Sacred Heart Primary school. The pair were joint winners at a ceremony celebrating ten years of Kensington Regeneration.

The award was for Education and Training Champions, a category in which judges were looking for an inspiring individual or organisation that has helped residents to raise their levels of attainment, gain qualifications, increase their confidence and become more employable.

The award was presented by Gordon Burns from BBC North West Tonight. It was a great occasion and many groups and organisations were recognised for the great work they have done and continue to do in Kensington – the Community Police, The Clean Team, HEAT to name but three.

Mr Hardiman was delighted to accept the award on behalf of St Sebastian's and all it has done for pupils and parents allied to the contribution the Field of Dreams Nursery has made to the lives of working parents and students in the area.

Kensington Regeneration contributed towards the initial building works of the Nursery and has funded different projects since then, notably the outdoor play area, the new baby room and staff room.
