Family SEAL workshops at St Sebastian's and St Cuthbert's.
Over the past few weeks parents from across the federation have taken part in a family SEAL course. They looked at their own feelings, having empathy for others and how to change their feelings for the better.
This was a wonderful course which gave our parents strategies for dealing with their feelings and emotions. It gave them a closer insight into the impact of SEAL on their children.
All of our parents were awarded with a parent pack and certificate at the end of the course. As a special treat, on the last session they were invited to Healing Spaces in Kensington where they had a hand massage and relaxation.

Ruben Y1 and Mia Y2 were given special awards in May at the merit assembly by  Maths co-ordinator Mrs Winstanley
Both children won prizes for their high scores and improvement in the session on world maths day. Ruben also won a £5 token for WH Smiths.

SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning,) plays a big part in our everyday curriculum. Children are encouraged to think about the way they behave and the way they react towards others in our school community and their own life. It cover many topics and pupils have the opportunity to reflect and work through many issues at their own level. The teachers and pupils enjoy designing displays which reflect this aspect of our curriculum.
