CAFOD Presentation

Catholic Agency for Overseas Development

Before the Spring half term Joan Darwent, a representative from CAFOD, came into school to tell the children about the special projects which the organisation does in villages around the world. Joan gave the children a visual presentation and the children had the opportunity to help in the assembly and then ask questions about the work of CAFOD.

After half term, during Lent, St. Sebastian's will be collecting money for Nugent Care and CAFOD. Joan will come into school to receive any money we have collected. The children had lots of great ideas about this and are keen to organise fund raising events, such as Beat the Goalie, Own-clothes Days, Shoot-out competitions and many more. If you go onto the CAFOD website ( www.cafod.org.uk )  you will see the wonderful work of the organisation and there is also a children's section which has lots of interesting facts on it.
