St. Sebastian's is a Catholic School working in partnership with its Parish and the families who make it up. Parents actively commit themselves to support the School in its mission to give the children the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.

The school is a Voluntary Aided Catholic Primary with an attached Nursery providing for girls and boys on a daily basis. This means that the site and buildings belong to the Catholic Trustees but are equipped and maintained by the Liverpool Education Directorate.
